This will be my last blog post because it is the end of our year at Hay Park School and I want to say thankyou McCahon class for being there. My friends that helped me are Ezekiel, Feleti, Takirau, and Nj.

Reflection

What?

We went to May Road School to show them about how Genius Hour works and we also went to May road school to make new friends there. First we had to walk up hills to get to May Road School the 3rd thing we did was a warm up.

So what?

We did it so we could learn more about genius hour with May Road School and we got to collaborate with other children from other schools. The warm up game was when we have to ask 6 different children about what they loved to learn about and I only got 2 children to sign my paper.

Now what?

I want to do more learning with May Road School like genius hour and other things.

This is a presentation about mangroves also known as Nga Manawa.

My Key Competinties Reflection Term 2

One of the things I am most proud of this term is that I collaborate with my group when we are having group discussions. At the start of the year, this was really hard for me because I used to feel shy about sharing my ideas. Now, I can confidently share my ideas with my group when they need help.

Another thing I am proud of is that I can discover and learn new things using my chromebook. I am inquisitive about our topic when we are to ask questions to someone. Our group thinks about what our learning is going to be about.

Finally the most thing I am proud of is that I like to share new ideas about my learning. I am really proud that I can use my initiative while in class. I am proud to say that I know my rights and responsibility. mostly I listen to peoples ideas and not judge them.

I am enthusiastic because I love to learn and our job at school is to learn. What my teacher thinks about how I am enthusiastic is she likes how I am engaged with me learning. Another thing is she likes how I am helpful to other people and that when I need help most those people are there for me. I take opportunities given to me and I give it a shot and try my best.

We have been exploring Thinglink and using it to create content wich other people can use to learn from.
This Thinglink is about Ocean Currents
3 things I learnt about ocean currents are:

1.  Ocean currents have nutrients and oxygen
2. Cold salty water is denser then fresh water.
3. Thermohaline currents are caused by temperature and salty water.
